Annual review
Once a year, we check your plan against changes in your life, your assets, and the law. You get a written summary of what's holding up and what needs to move.
The Heritage Protection Plan
An estate plan is a snapshot of one moment — a moment that starts changing the second you walk out of the signing. Families grow, laws shift, assets move. The Heritage Protection Plan is a low-cost annual membership that keeps your plan continuously current, so the document you signed actually works when your family needs it.
Why this exists
Not because they were badly drafted — because life moves. A new grandchild. A property sale. A marriage, a divorce, a beneficiary that passes away. A change in Minnesota or Massachusetts law. A new federal estate-tax threshold. Any of these can quietly turn a perfectly good plan into one that creates more problems than it solves at exactly the wrong time.
The Heritage Protection Plan exists because the firm's core value is continuity. We don't believe in signing documents and disappearing. We believe in being the attorney your family can call when things change — not the one whose contact info is buried in a filing cabinet ten years later.
What's included
Once a year, we check your plan against changes in your life, your assets, and the law. You get a written summary of what's holding up and what needs to move.
Standard amendments, beneficiary changes, trustee substitutions, and the typical updates that come up over time — no per-amendment charge. Major restructurings are quoted separately so you're never surprised.
The kind of quick questions you'd otherwise put off ("Do I need to redo my plan after the move?") — answered directly by Jennifer, included in membership.
When the time comes, your family already knows who to call. We coordinate the post-death work — probate or trust administration — under continuing terms rather than starting cold.
Pricing
The Plan is intentionally affordable for the value it provides. We'll quote you precisely after the free consultation, based on the complexity of your plan and family situation. For most clients it's less than what one amendment costs at standard hourly rates.
For business owners
Small businesses go stale faster than estates. We're building a continuity program with the same shape — annual review, standard updates included, direct access — for business owners who want their entity, operating agreements, employment terms, and contracts kept current as the business evolves.
